Collecting business cards is not a hobby!
At an Iggy Pintado networking event in October 2009, Iggy was exhorting the audience to not take home business cards from social networking events and file them away, but to keep those connections alive because they're no value if you just let them fade and disappear.
So after the event I was heading to the pub with my business partner Rae Buerckner from Imagine Innovation and Sally Rose from Open Forum and came up with the idea of setting up a project to encourage people to maintain those relationships and put in the effort to keep in touch with people they meet.
Card to Coffee will be a platform for encouraging you to go find that box of business cards you have stashed in the cupboard, browse through your collection and commit to meeting contacts.
Once developed, this site will recognise your efforts to maintain your network by dusting off your old business cards and thus provoke others to do the same.
